The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (DEI) strives to hold ASWC accountable as well as the larger Whitman community by working on projects, sitting in on ASWC committee meetings, and being the liaison for certain bodies across campus. The DEI Committee will do their best to include students who may identify with underrepresented cultural identifiers of race/ethnicity, class, gender, religion, ability, and more (listed here on NAIS’ website) on Whitman’s campus. This position prioritizes combating actions, behaviors, and systematic issues that are inherent within ASWC and will work externally to ensure that ASWC is accessible to all students on campus.
