Fiona Bennitt, Rethink Dams

Fiona is a sophomore at Whitman majoring in Geology and Art from Bellevue, WA. She grew up swimming in Northwest rivers and lakes, working on local farms, and currently aspires to become a hydrologist. Fiona hopes to encourage others to envision a new economic future for the Snake River, and to inspire action to save our wild salmon and orca population.

Godwin Peck, Rethink Dams

Godwin is a sophomore Environmental Studies-Anthropology major at Whitman College from Rathdrum, ID. Godwin is an avid whitewater enthusiast and a river guide during the summer months. He is a passionate defender of free-flowing rivers, wild salmon, and nature conservation. With Rethink Dams at Whitman College, he hopes to inspire others to make a real difference in how we look at obsolete dams.

Betsey Olk, Rethink Dams

Betsey is a sophomore at Whitman, currently studying Sociology and Environmental Studies. She spent the last semester in Montana studying the complex ecosystems that connect us in the Pacific Northwest. Betsey loves the outdoors and is passionate about maintaining the health of our rivers. She hopes to inspire timely action against the dams that are wasting money and hurting our wild fish populations.
